Canberra College Piping and Drumming Solos (Solos Event 1 Saturday 11th April 2026)
For most people preparing for and playing in a competition is an effective way of lifting individual performance. The CCPD solos competitions will support players to improve their confidence, performance and preparations for any interstate solo competitions. The syllabus for our three solo events is the same as 2025 with the addition of an extra event for novice pipers.
Key points to note are as follows:
Entry form to be completed and emailed to margaretannetobin@yahoo.co.uk by COB the Sunday prior to the event. Upon receipt of the entries I will send a draw out to all competitors
There is no entry fee and no prize money.
Competitors can compete in their registered PBA grade and one higher. If you do not have a PBA grading, I will trust you to grade yourself appropriately.
There will be a mix of judges across the three solo events.
Highland dress for competitors is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged.
We look forward to hosting these three events and trust they will add to both the quality of piping and drumming in our region plus the camaraderie and spirit across our piping and drumming community.
